Getting an error greater than value?
-
I've just completed and am writing up my results. During the experiment I took some measurements with a specific error. These results were then used to determine another value. I used error propagation to work out the resulting error, but my final error is greater than my measred value. However the value has to be positive. Is my calculation wrong or do I just reduce the negative error to keep it positive.

Answer:
Redo it, I don't think you should have got a negative answer for the error, so you must have made a mistake somewhere
