How hard is to become a electrician apprentice?( experience electricians)?

I live here in Mississippi and i was wondering how hard is to become a apprentice. I was thinking of attending a community college but i heard that they dont give on job training. If i apply at the union, what are my chances of being accepted.

You will first have to have at least Grade 12 Math & Grade 12 Physics as well as having graduated from high school. Then you must find a company willing to take you on as an apprentice. An apprenticeship normally lasts 4 years with having to attend some schooling each year for a month or two.
