What is the maximum resolution for Google Earth and Virtual Earth and how do I get it?

Answer:
I don't know much about Virtual Earth, but Google Earth actually has a variable resolution and you can check this out for yourself. Zoom into some remote area or an almost unknown town and you will see the resolution is 10 meters or more, but have a look at New York and the resolution is 2 or 3 meters. It may have been upgraded to almost one meter by now. Google Earth is upgrading all the time. The best resolution you can get outside of the Military is from a satellite called QUICKBIRD and it is privately owned! Quickbird has a resolution of 0,6 meter or 2 feet! Quicbird images even show the white lines on roads, now that might seem impossible since the lines are only about 100 mm across, but they are definetly visible. Ask a physist to explain that to you, but its trure. I heard that Quickbird 2 is going to be launched and will be even better than Quickbird.
