The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World The Seven Wonders of the Natural World The Seven Wonders of the Modern World The Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages Just to name a few... ... and they dont share common wonders So... thats 28 wonders of the world right there. If I have a list of the top 2 billion wonders of the world. Does that hold any meaning to you? Not at all. And that is precisely what we have with the countless lists that exist. Seven on each is only an arbitrary limitation... helps to make it sound more meaningful instead of a single list of 2 billion. There are countless lists... none of them have an order. And lists are still being made. This voting site of yours... its just one more list of many. It WONT replace any preexisting list. It will just be the latest of meaningless lists. None of the lists that exist have an order to them of preference, reverence, or impressiveness. ==== On a side note, I'd like to point out that your list contains 10. Are we voting for which seven will be on the list? Can I call bias? Anyone can start up a random website in their local community and place a dozen local sites on it and ask the entire world to vote them as a new Seven Wonders of the World list. If I asked you to vote for a list of Seven Wonders of the World where all of the sites were right here in the United States of America... wouldnt you think a little prejudice was abound? Which citizen of which nationality selected the items which were initially placed on the list for voting?
