Characteristics of each of Brazil's five regions?

North: Best known due to Amazon. North is humid and most people have native indian ancestry.But North is not only forrest. You can find there many factories that manufactures hi-tech items. Yes, in Amazon. NorthEast: Northeast is mostly hot and tropical. Best knows for it beaches and dunes. The typical men of Northeast is jewish descent (their ancestral was the so-called New Christians, jewish who escaped from Inquisition in Europe at middle age) but you can find there a very representative black population. Adriana Lima, Tony Kanaan, Nogueira brothers are from Northeast. Central-West: Mostly dry but you can find the giant "pantanal" (swamp) and the federal district - capital of Brazil. Most have portuguese and italian ancestry. Southeast: The most diverse and rich region. You find Rio and São Paulo there (the two richest and mais brazilian states. Each one with a GDP bigger than 25 or 40 states of USA or 25 european countries. Population is very diverse: most have portuguese or/and italian ancestry but you find some million jewish, lebanese (there are more lebanese in Brazil than in Lebanon itself - 15 million), million japanese/chinese/korean, some million germans, some million dutchs and many thoushand from East Europe and from USA (US confederates) and a lot of million mixed and blacks, also. Beyond Rio and it attractions you can find there good water/amusement parks like "Hopi Hari" and "Rio Water Planet". South: South is mainly cold and looks Europe. Most people are of Italian, German, Ukrainian/Russian, Polish ancestry. The main cities are Curitiba, Florianópolis (aka Floripa) and Porto Alegre. South region is the best place if youare looking for winter trips (mainly in "Gramado" and "Serras Gauchas") but you can find very nice points for summer destinations like "Jurerê" beach. Another torurist attractions are "Iguaçu Falls", "Itaipu" Dam and "Beto Carrero World" (amusement park).
