How has tourism industry developed in South Asia?

Which country's economy relies on tourism the most?

• Hey, For geography, we're looking at tourism in asian countries and how it impacts that particular country. We're looking for a country that relies heavily on the tourism industry to thrive, and we would appreciate a few mainstream countries. We were thinking Malaysia, as its not a fully developed country and sustains itself with the revenue made from tourism, but are there any others? Cheers

  Malaysia is not correct. It has lots of industry to support itself. I have traveled to all of the South East Asia Countries except Burma (not allowed or recommended for tourism). I would say Cambodian was most dependent on Tourism. Of the other Major Countries in the world, Egypt relies very heavily on tourism. They don't have oil.
