  There two are two types push factors and pull factors. Push factors are those which cause people to leave where they are e.g. poverty, overpopulation, lack of opportunities in career, work ,study , inferior services and infrastructure , war an d/or political or social or ethnic instability political oppression. Pull factors are those which attract people TO a destination. These include the flip side of the push factors e.g. higher standard of living, better opportunities, superior services and infrastructure, political and social stability etc Challenges include, language, cultural differences.
