Why must we wait 4 hours before we can choose BEST ANSWER?

Did you all know that if you choose a Best Answer you can help stop cheating in the Geo forums?

  • Did you know that if you post a question in the geography forum, that if you choose the best answer to your own question, not only do you get 3 points, but you can stop people from cheating by using m ultiple accounts to vote for answers? If we all did this, we could make the geography forum a model Yahoo Answers community. At the same time, we can make it fair for all people that use this. It will stop people from using multiple accounts to vote for their own answers or someone else's answers many times. But like I said, the biggest bonus is you get 3 points every time you choose a Best Answer for your question. All you have to do is wait a minimum 5 hours after you post, if you feel you haven't received a good answer, you can keep it open. Who wants to start doing this?

I'm in! I mean, there are LOTS of people in here who don't choose a Best Answer and leaves it hanging for the voters. You know...a chance to cheat for multiple account users! Choosing a Best Answer is a very effective way to help curb out and stop point gaming in here. So that the Geography section will be more fun and educational!

gooner, they will but if person A, B, C and D are always choosing person X as their Best Answer, then you report them and Yahoo Answers will delete not only the multiple accounts but the main account as well. Plus Yahoo can check, cookies, IP and all that as well.

If you choose answers, then you will get people running and crying to you that you chose the wrong answer - boo hoo - , you just ignore them cry babies. I'm game.
