a rewarding career huh?....well u can become a teacher. beleive me there is nothing more satisfying than ur student fulfilling his dream and the fact that u have helped him to do it. this is far more rewarding than treating patients also My biology teacher in class eleven had done mbbs and md.....then he went for research in genetics. but he couldnt find the satisfaction he wanted which he found in teaching.

If you completely scratch off the medical side of things, there isn't actually a whole lot to do. Most of biology research lies with fixing the body when its broken, given that we have unveiled so many of its secrets already. However there are many things to do with medical research that don't involve actually being a 'doctor' in the sense of working in a Hospital. Doing research and testing for a pharmacuetical company can be quite lucrative and enjoyable. Otherwise genetics and stem-cell research is the hot area of biology in terms of both exciting finds and ethical controversy.

the options are many..you can take biotechnology,bioinformatics, genteics,biochemistry,B.pharm..all these fields will provide you a rare opportunity to face a new challenge everyday

if you dont want to do your MBBS,you can do something else like biotechnology which is a young subject which will gain a lot of importance in the next 5 yrs.you can also do something like bio engineering or bio informatics.
