What term used to to refer to a bacterium that cannot exist at normal atmospheric oxygen levels.?
-
Is it obligate anaerobes? And what type of media that would be used in the lab in order to evaluate a bacterium’s oxygen requirements? Thanks.
-
Answer:
obligate anaerobe is without oxygen. Low oxygen is a microaerophile. You just mix the bacteria with agar in a test tube and they will migrate down to the bottom and produce bubbles when the agar solidifies.
