Calculating a reaction rate?

What is the general formula for the rate of reaction?

  • I'm calculating it for temperature's effect on the rate of reaction on catalase with hydrogen peroxide.

  • Answer:

The simplified rate for an enzyme reaction is amount of product formed per unit time. The effect of temperature is a variable that can then be studied, but the rate of the reaction will still be amount of product formed per unit time. Other factors such as pH, substrate concentration etc,. must remain constant, however.

umoles product produced per minute per ml per mole of substrate. I think.

plpo

the rate of reaction would be calculated using the physical quantities of temperature and volume. hence to find the rate of reaction, it should be cm^3/ kelvin
