Why are the legs of insects not always identical?

Why do insects cross their legs when they die?

  • Why do insects or arthropods, six legged organisms(not spiders , they are archanids, eight legs) cross their legs when they die?

  • Answer:

That is the stasis for the opposing muscular groups that moved them in life. As rigor mortis sets in, the muscles stiffen, except for bugs around my shelter, who are folding their 'arms' in prayer, so they will go to heaven!

I don't believe they do. Their legs just go limp. If they appear to be crossed it is by accident. Sometimes an insect will pretend to be dead out of defense and cross its legs. Maybe that is what you're thinking about.
