Can you help me with Protein Synthesis?
-
what would happen if spliceosomes join together the introns instead of exons?
-
Answer:
when the spliceosome removes the introns and joins together the exons, a complete gene is formed and a protein can be synthesized from it. if it just joined together the introns, it would form a sequence that wouldn't be able to be read and translated, so nothing would happen really, and the exons would not be joined together and that cell would not have that protein it codes for.
