Benefits/effects of green light on plants/photosynthesis?

• I'm having trouble researching on the benefits/effects of green lights on plants/photosynthesis. I have to find 2 peer-review articles on the benefits/effects of green lights on plants/photosynthesis, so far I've found one or two that talks about green light on plants. However, they don't mention anything about the possible (if any) benefits of green lights on plants. I have to come up with reasons as to why green light would be able to benefit plants (supported by articles). The only reason I can find is that green light actually accelerates the growing process. It grow fast, but the plant will be weaker.

  Nope..just the opposite. You need to understand the physics (yipes!) of how we see color. The reason that green plants are green is that green light (part of the visible spectrum of light, ROY G BIV, aka a rainbow or refracted light) is the only color among the visible spectrum that is NOT absorbed by the chloroplasts. It is instead reflected back to our eyes, which is why we see it as green. That wavelength is useless to the chloroplast, which I know sounds backwards but trust me..it's true. You perceive colors by which wavelengths of light are thrown back to your eyes, not which are absorbed by the substance you're looking at. Black items absorb ALL of the light wavelengths, which is why black interiors are hot in cars on a summer day. White items reflect ALL of the light wavelengths away, which is why white clothing is cooler to wear. A green plant is green because it rejects the green light and throws it back to our eyes. Therefore, green light would inhibit the plant and, if the plant is not exposed to the other wavelengths, it will die.
