Does evolution apply to humans?
-
Here are some facts before you answer: Scientists butt heads over this. Its just a huge educated guessing game. with that in account we don't even know if evolution applies to humans. We can see that our bodies adapt slowly to the environment. But there has never been proof linking humans to an animal which we evolved from. now i know that you are about to say what about the cave man, and the monkey right? fact is during the time of cave man modern man (me and you) just poped out of no where based on findings there was no slow evolution from cave man to modern man. Nor has there ever been any link to humans evolving from monkeys. Remember humans evolving from chimps is just a theory not fact. So based of the cold hard facts we can deduce that humans did not evolve and there is no link to us being on this planet longer than 195000 years. based on evolution that's not enough time to evolve from chimp to human. So now here we are to the default question. How can people say we evolved from monkeys when there is no proof? In all other species on earth we can see when they evolved and from what. but humans remain a mystery Its as if one day BAM humans show up.

Answer:
evolution = another BULLSHIT religion of nonsense There is no such thing as evolution. The ONLY thing that does occur is small changes (mutations) due to reproduction, old age, and interactions with bacteria and viruses. We dont EVER "magically mutate" nor transform (morph) into a NEW species ever!!! Not even over the course of MILLIONS of years Its IMPOSSIBLE for RADICAL "species-transforming" mutations to ever occur. ONLY genetic engineering, modification, and alteration can do that.

Looks like you have been reading creationist BS websites, right? No, scientists do not "butt heads over this". They agree humans evolved. It is Not a "a huge educated guessing game". The Theory of Evolution is a fact with mountains of supporting evidence in fossils and DNA phylogeny. There are lots of fossils of ancestral species. Humans did evolve and invisible sky daddy had nothing to do with it.

Your "question" (I put it in quotes 'cause it's not so much a question as it is an opinion piece) is so loaded with misstatements and misunderstanding that it's hard to know where to start. What you called "watered-down insults" was just the other poster responding to your misstatements because we've seen such statements before --over and over and over again. Your very premise starts out embarrassingly wrong, you mischaracterize wrong assumptions and baseless assertions as facts, and finally, your actual question ends up being more of the same old recycled creationist dribble. To bad if that sounds "insulting" to you, but if you're going to put your ill-informed opinions out on a public forum, then you have no right to expect gentle treatment from people who know what they're talkng about, and have heard all these bogus arguments before... You start out bad and then it just gets worse... "Here are some facts..." No, mostly just misstatements and lies--and they DO read like you just got them off some creationist website, because that's the kind of thing those sites have on them, ad nauseum. "Scientists butt heads over this. It's just a huge educated guessing game." Which scientists are "butting heads???" Do you have any idea how stupid that sounds? It's been thousands of years of accumulating evidence, with the last 150 years being particularly fruitful. There is NO reputable scientist who doubts that all of life's diversity--including humans--is the result of evolution. The only ones who dispute this FACT are that tiny minority of fundamentalists--almost all in the U.S. only--who are creationists. If you really had any understanding of this so-called "controversey," you would know that it has nothing to do with science, and everything to do with politics. You go through a number of half-baked arguments based on ignorance of the facts, you amply display your embarassing lack of understanding of what a scientific theory is, and then you come up with this gem: "...How can people say we evolved from monkeys?" THIS is your "default question??" You claim that you're not a creationist, yet you sound exactly like some kid, homeschooled in creationist dogma. Humans did not evolve from monkeys. SCIENTISTS DON'T SAY THAT. Evolution doesn't say that. Only the creationists do. How can they say that? Well, you tell me. You're the one who's said it.

Evolution applies to all living things. Scientists do not butt head over this. Christians do. Scientists do understand what evolution is and how it happens. You, along with billions of christians don't. It is not a guessing game. Humans are living things, humans evolve, there is not way to prevent that. The changes in human bodies that you see during your lifetime have nothing to do with evolution. Yes there is proof linking me and you to apes, linking me and you to mammals to animals to plants. The sequence of our genes, our DNA. By looking at the patterns of DNA in different species you can conclude how the species are related, how close their relationship is. As the basic mechanism of information storage for the building of proteins DNA is used in all living organisms. In tomatoes, in grass, in moss, in yeast, in ants, birds, elephants and humans. "Based on findings there was no slow evolution from cave man to modern man"? What findings did you miss? What kind of slow do you mean? On what do you base your claim that we are here a mere 195000 years? Who made the 300.000 year old spears? 2 million year old stone tools? Humans did not really evolve from chimps. Our grand-grand-grand-parents a few million generations ago where different from us now and they where different from todays chimpanzees and still were they our ancestors and also the ancestors of the chimpanzees. The link between you and the other great apes is visible in the patterns in our DNA. We are apes. We are one of different kinds of apes. We share about 98% of our DNA sequence with modern chimpanzees. Which other species do you mean where we can see when they evolved and from what? What is it that makes humans so different in your eyes?

Look at the evidence and consider it: Firstly, the remnants of the supposed Homo erectus, AKA Java man, consist of no more than skullcaps, femurs and random jaw bones Secondly, DNA is very similar between chimp and humans, but this doesn't necessarily point to evolution - it could just as easily point to ID/creationism Thirdly, the Bible, a book that has never been proven wrong, affirmed by Jesus who rose from the dead and proved himself to be the Son of God (there's a lot of historical evidence) states that God made the world - but this does not necessarily contradict evolution. Fourthly, the chimp's bones and muscles in the 'hand' and embryonic development is very similar to humans, but again this could also point to ID. It might not really affect your life, but think critically, and investigate deeply.

Evolution applies to every living thing, including humans. Even those who are dead from the neck up because they believe in creationism. Scientists do not "butt heads over this". All but a few (who are mainly in the pay of the Templeman Foundation) agree with evolution - for all organisms. There is overwhelming proof linking humans to earlier species of humans, and through them to the common ancestor we share with apes, and then right back through the evolutionary tree to the various common ancestors we share with every other species on Earth. Your use of the terms 'cave man' and 'modern man' show just how little you understand about human history. 'Modern man' lived in caves. Some modern humans still do. Evolution does not state that humans evolved from chimps. When the first humans evolved chimps did not exist, just as Homo sapiens did not exist. Chimps and humans share a common ancestor which produced both humans and chimps. You really should try to understand something before you try to pull it apart. Anyone who used the term "just a theory" is simply stating that they have not the faintest idea what a scientific theory is. A scientific theory must fit every single fact and piece of evidence without exception and must be able to predict further verifiable facts. A single fact which does not fit the theory will demolish it completely; no such fact has ever been proven in the 150 years since Origin of Species was first published. The 'cold hard facts' are that the earliest humans appeared on Earth some 7.5 - 8 million years ago in Africa. There are fossils to prove it.

"Scientists butt heads over this. Its just a huge educated guessing game." Wrong right off the bat. Honestly, copying and pasting misinformation from creationist websites isn't going to get you anywhere.

Out of your first 10 sentences, 8 by my count were lies. As in factually incorrect, and easily disproved. The other two were irrelevant.

Yes, evolution...change towards betterment...applies to all Life forms on this Planet Earth.

"Scientists butt heads over this." This is a lie - biologists have firmly believed in human evolution for at least the last 150 years. And nobody says that we evolve from monkeys except people who misunderstand evolutionary theory. "humans remain a mystery" - not really but we evolve biologically AND culturally - which explains why you have no idea what evolution is and what it isn't yet still feel the need to talk about it.
