Where can I find a DIAGRAM or IMAGE of the human circulatory-system?

  • My father has recently gone through his 2nd heart surgery. In 2004, he had a Quadruple by-pass surgery to clear his artery. Last week, he went through another heart surgery (this time, a STINT was placed in this ruptured artery.) This 2nd surgery involved the catheder to go in through his groin (like the first exploratory surgery did - before the open heart surgery for the Quadruple bypass surgery.) How does the circulatory system run (with such larger arterial paths?) from the heart to the rest of the body, below the shoulders? I'm searching for a diagram or image of the human circulatory system so I can actively protect my own system(s) for when / if (I PRAY THAT I WILL NOT HAVE TO!) I have to endure this same condition.

Regular checkup and a healthy diet and a reasonable amount of regular exercise are probably going to do more for you.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circulatory_system Wiki isn't as crappy as people make it out to be. At least, not always. Since this isn't for a school project or something, Wikipedia will do just fine. Click the image to actually get an enlarged version of it. Once you do, you'll see a bunch of labeled veins and arteries and such. You could just open the link and then open the image in a new tab, since the information about the circulatory system seems to be in the first part.
