How should salt affect the rate of an enzyme catalyzed reactions?

  • could some please explain...i recently performed a lab using an enzyme (turnip) peroxidase and im still a bit confused as to how salt affects the reaction rate of the peroxidase catalyzed reaction....

    salt as in metal salts not the sodium chloride actually assist the enzyme to perform betta.....its also known as a cofactors in this case........they are essential
