When a chick is developing inside an egg, how does it breathe?

there is a tinny opening in tbe egg that alows a small amount of oxigen into an air sack wich an ambilical is atached to and suplys the chick with the need oxegyn

when you hard boil an egg you migh thas noticed that the fat end of the egg has an airsack. it s a gap between teh inner membrane and the shell. i dont know how it gets up to teh egg im guessin its some umbilical action

The amniote egg is a water proof structure composed of a shell with a small air hole near the flattened portion of the egg, embryonic membranes, and the living embryo. Starting after the shell, the first extraembryonic membrane is the chorion. The chorion aids in the exchange of gases between the environment and the embryo. There is an air space inside the egg just to the rear of the small air hole. When you hard boil an egg you can see it when you peel it. The allantois is a sac-like structure that grows out of the digestive tract of the embryo. It functions in gas exchange, as well, and collects metabolic wastes from the embryo. The third membrane is a fluid filled sac called the amnion. It surrounds the embryo and the fluid it secretes cushions the embryo. The fourth and final membrane is the yolk sac. The sac contains the food for the embryo.
