Proof of "Evolution"? Seriously?
-
A picture on wiki about evolution shows two dogs of different breeds standing next to each other. LOL. Seriously?!?! Also I see that the fact that our genes changing from one generation to the next is an example. So is this saying since me are not exact clones we are evolving? Also i see another thing used as "evidence" is the fact that we can adapt to things. That is a fact, well at least the part about us being able to adapt. Saying it is proof of evolution is like saying the fact that people can create a higher pain tolerance means they can become immune to the damage that is causing the pain. I also read that it takes generations for this adapting to happen. Obviously this is said so it coincides with evolution theory. This however happens in weeks as anyone can see if they use their own logic to think about it. If someone lives where there are moderate seasonal changes they will be able to recall times where in summer perhaps it dropped from a typical 97f to say 72f and it felt chilly. At the begging of summer for example im always hearing about how "hot is is" when its 86f, and then how good it feels during the middle of summer when its that same 86f. This is the same thing. So i guess what im asking is: Am i not understanding this "evidence" correctly? and If i am then Isn't that* a classical example of a desperate attempt to make something irrefutable? * By that I mean when small facts that can be stretched to many different conclusions are thrown in one category to say that "If you acknowledge this to be so than you are saying this is true!"

Answer:
Evolution is Evolution, there is no positive evolving or negative. Sure, evolving may have some negative affects, such as producing an additional amount of sweat due to Global Warming. Proof! Birds have been said to be one of the closest living organisms relating to Dinosaurs. Small Raptors with bird like characteristics experience a dramatic alteration of genetics after the gigantic meteor struck the Earth's surface. The pollution forced these animals to adjust speed and weight in order to acquire food, and essentially survive. Their entire genetic makeup changed over the years in, who some would say, a positive manor. If the Raptors had not evolved, would they have survived? Who knows. But the proof is all around us. Evolution is also found within our immune systems. Adaptation falls under the category of Evolution, and we have adapted to resist certain diseases, such as the Chicken Pox. We have experienced them once, and have adapted, basically evolved quite rapidly. These adaptations are completely invisible to the eye, as they happen inside the body at a microscopic view. Physical changes take sooo much longer. For more proof, look for bones of cavemen, and compare the to modern humans, recorded history dates back to about 10,000 BC. Man eventually developed a smarter brain, and which brings in the theory of Creationism. This is a theory that God brought man to Earth, starting with Adam and Eve. Bone evidence refutes this, however, highly spiritual individuals still support this theory. Some say that Cavemen naturally evolved due to the introduction of technology and a greater population. Creation of weapons and tools created more flexible hands. Language popped up due to the need of communication amongst many people. Animal Sex Changes are also an occurrence of adaptations. If there are two male chickens, it is quite likely that it will change its sex, to continue life. On a normal farm, only 1 in 10,000 chickens actually change sex for no apparent reason. Adaptations are almost always beneficial to anything. Evolution is the same way. They almost always fix the problem. Evolution occurs naturally in organisms, and is caused for a reason. Example, If all Humans are given half the rations they usually acquire, their stomachs will naturally shrink within a week. If all Humans do this for over a HUGE period of time, all humans will probably loose the ability to stretch their stomachs **The video game SPORE, by Maxis, is a prime example of evolution, except, you choose the characteristics. you can decide to change the feet, in order to run faster or slower. you can change the eyes for greater or weaker eye sight, and more bones for more protection.**

Okay first thing's first, your tone is beyond arrogant and with no real foundation on which to rest your ego. You obviously haven't researched enough, and if you have, you haven't been understanding it. Evolution is theory, not an absolute point; It's something that was and still is being developed through observations, not speculation. It's ACTUAL QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH. To your complete misinterpretation of adaptation, that is COMPLETELY different than evolutionary adaptation. The type of adaption you're referring to is the ability to become accustomed to something, this is NOT what happens in evolution. Adaption does not occur to a single entity, you cannot base your argument on a single sample and claim a change is evolutionary, because its not, evolution happens over GENERATIONS. The genetic differences in EVERY generation gives rise to new possibilities, and new traits that allow for better survival and ability to propagate. In a group of 50 sharks, 40 of which have no teeth cannot eat. They do not just grow teeth and are able to eat because they adapted. Those 40 DIE OUT. The 10 that survive are more fit for their environment due to their genes that allowed for such teeth, as a result, these 10 sharks propagate, and soon enough, all the sharks that end up surviving will have teeth. I suggest you change your tone and your view of the world. What you are doing is undermining the intelligence of the entire intellectual world. Grow up, get the info, then make your argument, WITH sound reasoning, not to mention respect.

Damn, man. Just wow. You probably should have read the article on evolution instead of just looking at the picture.

It can be a little confusing. For many years they went by fossil record but there seems to be many instances when that explanation is not able to explain the whole picture. One thing is the lack of continuity. It seems some eras have huge amounts of species and then followed by almost an absence of them. And then huge amounts spring up again and it is difficult to figure out what they could have evolved from. Another difficulty seems to be this. Sometimes in a fairly short amount of time it seems that some physical characteristic of an animal evolved to a different value. For instance in England there was a moth who had a certain degree of color that allowed him not to be seen clearly by predators when on the side of a tree. And then, due to burning cheap coal and the resulting soot that accumulated on the trees the moths seemed to have darkened themselves in response to this. But when they checked previously collected specimens they found many already were that dark. The lighter colored ones got eaten by birds leaving the darker colored ones to carry on the species. In other words they didn't really evolve because they were there all along. If you read James Hogan's book, "Kicking the Sacred Cow" there is a more thorough explanation of this. Another aspect of the problem that he considers is the complexity of a single cell or the eye/optic nerve when the question is asked, "What did this evolve from?" If any miniscule part of either of these is taken away it is useless. So how could it have evolved? In other words we never find an animal with a useless eyebal or a useless cell. I think some parts of evolution make sense in some way but it seems that we need a richer theory. It is more of an incomplete theory rather than be a totally wrong theory.

I don't think short term adaptation is the same as evolution. Evolution takes quite a bit of time, and these short term adaptations are not passed on to the next generation.

how about swine flu? that's one isn't it?

faulty premise leads to faulty conclusion. the pain refrence in now way is any thing like evolution. as for proof, maybe when you go on your first 5th grade feild trip to a museum, they' can help you to find some. it's every where.

Evolution is a scientific theory, as a theory, it can never be "proven". Just as the gravity is a theory which can never be proven. Perhaps you should study the theory of evolution before you attempt to "disprove" it as you show a sad lack of understanding of it.

OK if you want that big zit out then just pop it with a magic monkey which will come in 2012 when we die i serious
