  I think it's a wonderful idea! Just think of the advantages! Instead of losing a limb, one could have it replaced if it were cloned. Rather than heart and lung transplants and being on drugs the rest of ones life, you could have your own transplanted and do without the drugs! Of course, I'm referring to body PARTS and not the body itself. The down side would be the cost to the patient. It'd be astronomical! Probably into the upper hundreds of thousands between the doctors doing the procedure and the cost of the growing and the hospital stay. Insurance companies would raise rates because of the cost of the procedure If they even bothered to cover it. Doctors and hospitals could probably cut their bills by half and still make a profit, but they won't. If anything, they'll raise it. You'll always have protesters. They'll call it 'cloning' and say that some one, somewhere is 'cloning humans' in a secret laboratory and they'll work themselves into a frenzy.
