What causes deja vu ?

  • what is the cause of deja vu??? like randomly at the most unimportant moments i'll get i feeling like i had been there before. Or i actually had a dream about the moment before it had actually happened....this is strange and i'm just curious why does this happen? And why?

    Likely the present situation (or present thoughts) bring to mind similar situations (or thoughts). We often recall things by association and deja vu may bring together several items that were previously associated. If someone is lost driving a car and after an hour returns to the same spot they may feel deja vu even if they don't exactly recall the spot they have returned to. Without a powerful mind perhaps there would be little or no deja vu.

why does this happen? well, there is no scientific cause for it. i believe it to be fully spiritual. if there was a scientific cause i would believe it to be along the lines of: chemical imbalences in the brain, or something similar.

well if you have never experience death situation there shouldn't be any deja vu experience . And how can you say it's deja vu ? If you are talking about dream :- May be it's your mind,created by mind . You might not know what you have seen or experienced but in subconscious mind knows everything and when a person is sleep the subconscious mind recalls all the events sound and stacks them in order creating a dream . And when a person sees something resembling to their dream in their real life they say they are having deja vu experience . And yes deja vu experience is where person tends to remember their past but you are having a dream it's not a deja vu but i think you are having perception . Well it happens to everyone . It also happens to me . i think it warns you about stuff or helps you. no i dont think its cause of anything wrong with the brain or any of that. i beleive that deja vu is a gift. i also beleive that i have deja vu as well because i have the same kind of experiences that you have had. it is very rare when people have that gift so do not take advantage of it and use it only for good
