How do neurons store/transmit information?
-
I know that they do it by sending electric signals but how do these signals contain this information? Or how does a corded phone transmit information through a cable with electricity?
-
Answer:
the neurons transmit electrical impulses to diffrnt parts of ur brain which THEN can say "this is heat" or "this is pain",and the frequency of transmittion shows how strong the stimulus is..so eg the optic nerve and the auditory nerve both carry same types of impulses, but to diffrnt parts of the brain, which then say "there is light in ur eye" and "there is sound" etc...not too sure abt the phones though..
