What are the functions of a plant cell?

List me the functions of each of the cell organelle in animal and plant cell.?

  • Please don't give me any links and list me the functions in points for each of the cell organelle.

  • Answer:

Nucleus- Controls the activities of the cell. Also contains genetic materials. Nucleolus- Nucleoli are formed around specific genetic loci called Nucleolar Organizing Regions (NOR's), Because of this non-random organization, the nucleolus is defined as a "genetically determined element." Nucleoplasm- The nucleoplasm is a highly viscous liquid that surrounds the chromosomes and nucleoli. Mitochondria- Mitochondria are sometimes described as "cellular power plants" because they generate most of the cell's supply of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), used as a source of chemical energy. Plastids- Plastids are the site of manufacture and storage of important chemical compounds used by the cell. Golgi Bodies- The primary function of the Golgi apparatus is to process and package macromolecules, such as proteins and lipids, after their synthesis and before they make their way to their destination; it is particularly important in the processing of proteins for secretion. Endo Plasmic Reticulum- These structures are responsible for several specialized functions: protein translation, folding and transport of proteins to be used in the cell membrane (e.g. transmembrane receptors and other integral membrane proteins), or to be secreted (exocytosed) from the cell (e.g. digestive enzymes); sequestration of calcium; and production and storage of glycogen, steroids, and other macromolecules. Ribosomes- The ribosome functions in the expression of the genetic code from nucleic acid into protein, in a process called translation. Lysosomes- They digest excess or worn-out organelles, food particles, and engulfed viruses or bacteria. The membrane surrounding a lysosome allows the digestive enzymes to work at the 4.5 pH they require. Centrosomes- The centrosome is an organelle that serves as the main microtubule organizing center (MTOC) of the animal cell as well as a regulator of cell-cycle progression. Vacuoles- Vacuoles are essentially enclosed compartments which are filled with water containing inorganic and organic molecules including various enzymes in solution.

If you have the time to be so specific as to what you want exactly and the time to type it up then you have the time to use a search engine and find the functions of these organelles yourself. Learn a lesson now you cannot ask someone to do this for you in an exam. Doing this yourself is known as learning.
