How long does it take water to get through your urinary system if you have a urine infection?

  • I ask because I have a urine infection i think... sorry if its too much info. Its really uncomfortable and i drank loads and was just wondering how long it would take for water to pass through.

    The kidney is a processor so the amount of fluid you drink boosts of the processing so to speak..but everyone has a different bladder capacity so sometimes folks can hold a lot of urine in their bladder before they have the urge to urinate..Are you on medication for this infection?...I would continue to drink plenty of water...(avoid pop and fruit juices) just try to go to the bathroom about every 2-3 hours and the medications (hope your on) will kick in about 24-48 hours..if you are not go to the doctor and have them test your urine..it could be something else going on,

the best thing to drink for a uti is cranberry juice it helps clense the system but if it persists for more than a few days go see your dr, he can perscribe a antibiotic that will clear it up faster
