What are the signs of having a period?

I've had my period for 3 months and it isn't showing any signs of stopping, what should I do?

• I am 15 years old and the possibility of a miscarriage, well, isn't possible. I've scheduled an appointment with a doctor, but what should I do before then? This is the first time my period has been this irregular, before this I rarely even had my period. I am often really tired, although I was really tired before this happened. The lower left of my abdomen is starting to have pains and I get really mood swingy. I am taking a spoon of molasses almost every day because it has plenty of iron, but I still don't feel right.
