Are there any good bebop jazz bands?

Can you recommend some jazz similar to Cowboy Bebop?

• I've got all of the soundtracks from The Seatbelts and just LOVE Yoko Kanno's music. But I have been unable to find much jazz music that is close to their style. I have luckily found Soil and "PIMP" Sessions which is amazing, but I'm severely disappointed if those are the only two jazz bands that really play jazz like this. I would really recommend checking out some music from the two artists before answering because it will give you an idea of what I'm talking about. And lastly, there are two specific songs from The Seatbelts that I've heard that are much more relaxed and laid back compared to most of their jazz. I'd like to find some jazz that sounds similar to these songs as well. They're called "slipper sleaze" and "cat blues". I love ALL of the music they play but the two types of jazz that I really want to find something similar to are: The main jazz they play (i.e. New York Rush, Tank!, What Planet Is This!?, Too Good Too Bad) and something similar to "Slipper Sleaze" and "Cat Blues".
