How do you install an ignition lock switch in a 93 Lincoln town car?

  I Assume You Are Speaking About The Key Lock Assembly??? If So, All You Have To Do Is Turn Old Switch In Start Position Without trying to start it .Then Under The Steering Column Just Below the Key Switch.There Are 2 Holes One Is Smaller Use A 1/8 Punch And Insert Into Little Hole And Push Up on A Pin Then Hold It There While Pulling Old Lock Assembly Out .Be Careful When ReInstalling As the New Switch Also Has To Be In start Position To Install Most New Switches Are Already Set . So Now All You Do Is Push In On PIN Again And Push New Switch all The way In release Pin and Test Key Switch .....:) turn old key to ON position - if you turn it to START it will crank your handbook shows ON and START positions and states that START position cranks the engine. Therefore, turn key to ON position to remove old assembly
