Answer:
Okay anime and manga drawing aren't usually a lot different especially since most animes are based on mangas. Manga is comic books while anime is cartoons, meaning anime is on television and the character are moving and talking but are drawn :P while manga is 2D characters on paper. Anime is really no different than cartoons expect it usually has a more mature story line and isn't intended for 4 year olds. For example some you may have watched when you were young was Sailor Moon and Pokemon. So you can't read anime only manga :D Hope this Helps!!!!

well, here's the main difference: You WATCH an anime while you READ a manga.. An anime follows a certain plot line but a cartoon most often just have random episodes where the same characters shows up.. kind of like spongebob, tom and jerry.. Also, an anime have a distinct way of portraying its characters than cartoons. That's all I know..

Mangas are more like the Asian version of what we call graphic novels or comic books. Mostly made in Japan these books are read backwards because of the way their language is written and is translated into English the same way to make it seem more traditional. Anime is a form of Japanese animation. Most anime come from manga so the styles are quite the same. Some animes also come from videogames or tv shows. Unlike in america where most animated shows or cartoons are made for kids, lots of anime are targeted at a higher age level either because of their story or content. In reverse because there are some mangas that are turned into anime there are also some animes that turn into mangas. Mangas and anime are different they they are each deeply connected to the other.

Anime is the Japanese word for animation/cartoons. It's actually short for animation. Manga is the Japanese word for comics. You watch anime and read manga. As for the difference between cartoons and anime.... Well, technically, they're the exact same thing. In Japan, Tom and Jerry and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei would both be called anime. People outside of Japan tend to use the "anime" and "manga" to refer to cartoons/comics from Japan. As for the difference in style...I think Japanese animation tends to be treated more like an equal entertainment medium. Meaning, it can tell any sort of story just like movies and novels can. With anime, you can find a show for nearly every taste and for a much wider age range. Whether you want a complex storyline and plenty of action, a comedy, or something with drama and romance....there's something for everyone. In the US, most cartoons are made for young children or they're raunchy/humorous and aimed towards adults. There typically isn't much variety.

Anime is animated and shown on television. Manga is drawn and published as short books. Generally the terms 'anime' and 'manga' are used to describe the Japanese forms of entertainment. The term 'anime' is used to describe Japanese animation, while the term 'cartoons' is used to describe American (or I suppose just generally overseas) animation.

Ahh, I remember when I first asked this question, now I'm pratcially addicted to BOTH. Anime is, yes, made in Japan. Anime in a Show, Movie, or Cartoon. Sometimes Animes can be based off of Mangas. Manga is a comic book of sorts, yes, made in Japan that is read completely backwards. Yeah, you start form the end and go to the begining. And the bubbles ar backwards also. I would go to the library or book store pick up are Shouhen (boys manga) or Shojo (girls manga) and read the last page (our front page). This gives full direction on how to read and understand the book. I would start out by reading a short simple sieres and not Naruto or something. The first Manga I read I can't even remember the name of. But I think a good one to start with is either Fruits Basket (if your feeling girly seires includes 23 volumes) or Full Metal Alchemist (if your feeling boyly, I don't know arounf 22-5 volumes) and one good one from both genders (not quiet lovely dovey but not all fighting) Black Cat. (185 volumes, might not e good for everyone.) For first anime, I watched Gilgamesh, and it sucked. Well, that can happen soemtimes. I would watch Tactics, that can also help you get knowledge on Japanese stuff for mangas or animes.

first of all anime and manga are from japan second anime is an animated series usually based on mangas. mangas are japanese comics - they are always in black and white - i think - while anime is in colour nd lastly mangas r wayyyy better than animes!!!!!! (Y) animes aren't technically different frm cartoon since they are are cartoons. but i guess they are different frm western cartoons as they have a different drawing style nd different facial expressions. Anime storylines are usually more complex than any normal cartoon. many animes r perverted (not complaining)

Manga is the books whereas Anime is the cartoons. Anime I think is really specific to Japan, Korea, China etc. Their cartoons are Anime. Here cartoons are usually aimed at children with the exception of stuff like Family Guy and American Dad but in East Asia there are different Anime for different audiences. It caters for a much larger age range. That help?
