Where could I buy an anime mask?

Survey for anime fans or those who buy anime-related goods?

  • Hi! I have a relative working in Japan and we're both interested in selling mangas or anime-related stuff in the future. Because of this, I have a couple of questions. 1. Will you be willing to buy actual mangas as long as you can afford it or would you just rather read it online? 2. If we're going to push through with it, I have some ideas on the titles that we should get. However, I want more input from anime fans. Naruto, Bleach and Inu Yasha are probably a given as they're pretty much a staple of C & A. So, as cliche as it sounds, I want to know what your favorite anime is so I'll have an idea of which ones will sell. To make things easier, I just need the top one. If your top one happened to be one of the three I've already mentioned, please proceed to the top two. Feel free to mention other ones if you really have multiple picks though. 3. What anime-related items are you willing to buy the most -- as in actually spend money on instead of considering to buy? e.g mangas CDs plushies key chains etc... 4. How much are you willing to spend on a single trip/visit to an anime store? How about on a regular basis? 5. What are the things that you would want to see in a store that sells anime goods? That's probably about it for now. Thanks to those who will take the time to answer my questions.

  • Answer:

More than willing to help out a contact :) 1. Yes, I prefer hard-copies over online versions (great for visitors to entertain themselves quietly). 2. Err.... Don't have a favorite per se. But generally Seinen series. 3. -Special / Collector's edition DVD's -OST CD's -Plushies as gifts 4. $20-50 on regular visits, & more on special occasions. 5. -Knowledgeable staff that are on a similar level of Anime knowledge as some of the TC's here on C&A. ( ^ ^ )b - Music / video samples playing on a TV or background music - Product wise, a little bit of everything: Games (for PC, PS, Wii, etc.), Plushies, DVDs, Snacks, Posters, Sound track CDs, props / toys, figurines (Final Fantasy ones are great uni-sex ones & aren't ecchi), Gundam models (they're at every Anime specialty store I visit), etc.

Hi Ayamari! :) 1. Will you be willing to buy actual mangas as long as you can afford it or would you just rather read it online? Of course, I would much prefer to own a good quality manga novel that I can take anywhere with me then reading it on the internet whilst waiting for long loading times and blurry pictures. 2. If we're going to push through with it, I have some ideas on the titles that we should get. However, I want more input from anime fans. Naruto, Bleach and Inu Yasha are probably a given as they're pretty much a staple of C & A. If your top one happened to be one of the three I've already mentioned, please proceed to the top two. Feel free to mention other ones if you really have multiple picks though. Well, as you said I do love InuYasha also, the Death Note series and side stores along with other more popular series like Gravitation, Vampire Knight, One Piece etc. I have those at a local Chapters and they sell like hot cakes. 3. What anime-related items are you willing to buy the most -- as in actually spend money on instead of considering to buy? Well, I would probably only consider buying the actual manga novels but for the younger audience plushies, keychains and CD's do sound like a excellent idea. My younger relatives are always complaing about our lack of novelty anime items at our anime and manga shops. Which I'm sure if you put them out they'd sell, perhaps bookmarks posters aswell because those seem to be good things for someone on a budget and they'd go aswell. 4. How much are you willing to spend on a single trip/visit to an anime store? How about on a regular basis? Well, it depends on what my situation is at a time but if I'm trying to complete a collection I generally pick up around twenty to fourty dollars worth of books and items. But on a regular basis I would usually only buy one whenever I visit along with a plushie or bookmark. 5. What are the things that you would want to see in a store that sells anime goods? Anime DVD's Posters Bookmarks Manga Novels Plushies Keychains etc. And most of all good costumer service that is friendly. I hope I helped you out and good luck to you and your relative setting up shop in the future.
