Who is Drocell from Kuroshitsuji and what does he do?

How does Kuroshitsuji follow on from the first season?

  • I watched the first season of Black Butler and loved it. I then found out about Kuroshitsuji and started watching it. Is Kuroshitsuji a season of side storyies? Can somebody please explain how it follows on with the story of the first season, or have I watched the second season first and am now watching the first season afterwards?

  • Answer:

Kuroshitsuji was canon to the story only up to the curry battle. So anything that happened after the curry battle in season 1 was made up. Including the entirety of season 2. The main story moves in 'arcs'. Something is wrong in England so Ciel is dispatched by the queen to find out. During his sleuthing disturbing dark secrets are found which hopefully gives clues to Ciel's past and a way for him to extract revenge. (Because it was a cult that branded him so they should have ties in these supernatural quests.) The manga is very dark and it doesn't shy away from more child torture, mutilation, and homicide.

Kuroshitsuji is the same thing as Black Butler, only its the Romaji title of the name. I'm not sure which season you watched first, however. The first season does not have Claude and Alois, as well as a few new characters. Season 1 deals with Ciel's challenge to get revenge for his parents, and when he does, he is taken to have his soul eaten by Sebastian. Season 2 deals with a new foe after Ciel has lost his memory of ever getting revenge.
