you tel them anime is the best kind of cartoon or show out there. It is orginally from japan, all anime is in japanese UNLESS it was dubbed in english. Most anime is fighting. Basically anime is bases on fantasy,sci fi, ninja, and unrealistic events. Also the artwork in anime is almost always very good. Anime usualy has better artwork and more realistic looking people (besides the fact they have powers) then other cartoons. oh and the thigns you should not tell them is.. that most girls have big breats. most girls are partly dressed, they swear in most anime, theres a lot of violence, some anime is very perverted, theres a kind of anime called hentai (anime porn) almost all the guys are emo XD. You shouldnt tell them.. spoilers!

that its a japanese cartoon. when i told my friend in "simpler words" that its basically a japanese cartoon that comes in a variety of topics and genres ...she said "like pokemon?" ........... thats the last thing you want them believing.... (though, pokemon is good...)

The number one thing not to tell someone that has no idea what anime is, would be that it came from Japan originally. Now if you want to know what it is, let me tell you. It started in 20th Century Japan and it is a form of animation, but the main thing about it is that it is hand drawn. Has everyone played Zelda, well the animations are like Link, in Zelda, that kind of animation.
