Can anyone recommend a good minor audio setup?

Can anyone recommend a reasonable setup to do stop motion animation?

  • My son is currently using a very cheap (DigitalBlue) camera which is very poor quality, and the DB software which provides almost no editing capabilities. He works for hours at it and many times he has to start over.

Its really not that hard. We did it for the first three weeks in computer animation class. You can probably use any decent digital camera. Around 4 Megapixels is best. Anything less looks like crap and anything more you really wont use unless your making posters. You should also get a copy of photoshop. We were using photoshop 6, so I know 7, 8, or the CS's will have it. What you do is import the pictures. You either import the pictures as a film strip or you change them to a film strip after they're in photoshop. I dont rememeber which one. Then you just export it as a quicktime movie. It will probably take a bit of fumbling around in photoshop, but once you get it, it should be pretty easy.
