What's the difference between TiVo Series 1 and Tivo Series 2?

Whats the difference between the comic book series Uncanny X-Men and X-Men?

  • I'm just trying to find the line of continuity here. I know that Uncanny X-Men is the original series. However, this just makes me wonder where does the comic series plainly titled "X-Men" comes from. Is it just a separate story line similar to the relationship between Amazing Spider-Man and Marvel Knights: Spider-Man? If anyone knows the answer to this, I'd be glad to get your answers. As a reference, here is the link to marvel's x-men comic site. You'll see all the different X-Men series available. The longest running of the two are X-Men and Uncanny.     It really doesn't stem off, per se. You see, Marvel had created so many new characters and they wanted to be able to do them all justice. So the PLAN was to develop a new book - the X-men - and then have two teams; one led by Cyclops, one led by Storm. Hence the Blue and Gold team. Of course, each team would have their own book - but it just didn't work out quite that way - characters would be a mainstay in one of the titles, but they'd also appear in the other. And all the various X-men titles would inevitably have the more popular ones poppin' in and out all the time.... It was bound to happen. Spider-man is different, since all the titles are about the same character. With the X-men, the various books basically focused on different members of the same team. Of course, I'm biased - Uncanny and the X-men are my two favorite comics! (And any title starring yours truly!)

X-Men #1 came out in the 90's, with the revamped Blue and Gold teams. Uncanny still ran, but i guess they were lookin to bring a new plot and characters and a diff set up with XMEN. So as far as i know, i have #1, it was like any other spin off, jim lee was in on it and xmen started the new gritty personal xmen, along with new suits and separate team leaders: cyclops/storm. This was right after new mutants and bishops saga.
