How much does it cost to change your name and your idenity?

• I'm just curious but id like to know what is the average cost to change your name and identity. Including the cost to print out what your new name in the news paper, and cost to certify documents for the court.

  You can change your name by Deed Poll. The cost will depend on the State you live in. So actually changing your name isn't too expensive, but then you have to go about changing it everywhere else eg banks, social security, propery titles etc etc. this is complicated and time consuming. Some places will change for this. Changing name is one thing. Changing identity another.
