Answer:
I was able to reproduce this problem on a client PC using Internet Explorer 8 and yahoo webmail. The message would appear after sending an attachment such as a word document or a PDF file. The previous suggestion to change your homepage didn't work for me and doesn't make much sense but "tried" to follow it anyway with no results. Below is what finally worked in my situation. Make sure Internet Explorer is closed. Go to Control Panel>Internet Options On the General Tab under Browsing History: Click the delete button and check all options, then click on the delete button. As an extra measure, I then went to the Advanced tab and clicked on the Reset button under the "Reset Internet Explorer Settings." Check the box option "Delete personal settings." Click on the "Reset" button. Do NOT open Internet Explorer yet. Go to Control Panel> Java. On the General Tab under Temporary Internet Files click on the settings button. Click on the Delete Files Button. Then OK your way out. Launch Internet Explorer and go through the initial setup and try your email client again. If this problem continues, I suggest you scan your system for malware.

I did as this answerer proposed, and it seems to have helped: http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120318121901AA7obW7 Answerer 7 I just started receiving the same overflow error...strange crap too...I keep my systems perfectly clean but guess what I went thru my settings for internet options to check my email address default I always have my email default set to www.yahoo.com .... so In checked it...nope...it had changed!! Now just like several others here saying they just started seeing the grey box popup with a stack over flow on line 158....well....all that mumbo jumbo techno crap that only a few of us understand makes no sense for the layperson user...so here's what I did...simple stuff too... Go to your "TOOLS" text link below your browser address bar at the top of your screen....you'll see "File", "Edit", "View", "Favorites", then "Tools"...click on Tools....then you'll see a drop down menu....go to the last item..."Internet Options"....the first open box will be "Home Page" setting In this box should be your default email client...i.e. "www.yahoo.com"...www.gmail.com"...etc..… if it is something wierd...like https://login.yahoo.com/8463272/?uurnk/5634s....delete it... change it to the email client you prefer to use...for me it's yahoo....so I put .. www.yahoo.com make sure you click apply at the bottom of the internet options box and then OK to save... after that...close out all windows...restart your system and go back and check the settings again just like before....you should see your email client default is whatever you set it as...if not, then you didn't save it right the first time...click tools...then internet options...then correct the email default and click apply and then ok...restart and verify ... I was getting this error stack over flow using yahoo email client only...this procedure has corrected the error ... and like many people reported...it happens after you click send an email or reply email. Hope this simple answer helps someone here.... my email is imwebmaster2 [at] yahoo [com] if you need further help Source(s): I use my own troubleshooting
