Is paypal free? also questions about PAYPAL AND EBAY!!?

  • so i was looking for a dog pen and after looking on petco, walmart, i decided to type it into google. then ebay popped up and it was the cheapest one so far! and biggest. however, it says that the payment type is "paypal" i dont have a paypal but i have a debit card. if i registered on paypal and stuff does that cost money? any registration fee? how about buying things on ebay? is it like an ATM machine/ coin machine? where it charges a small fee everytime you use it? i know absolutely nothing about ebay or paypal. so anything good i need to know! please tell me. http://compare.ebay.com/like/280571918001?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&_lwgsi=y&cbt=y thats what i want lol. but the problem is, is that i dont have a paypal and i dont want it to charge small fees every time i use it.

    Yes, PayPal is free. No registration fee whatsoever. So if the dog pen costs $52.24, you pay $52.24. Nothing else (unless that seller has taxes charged to your home state.) Just sign up for PayPal, put all the information provided, and you're good to go. No additional charges from PayPal will be made to your account. That's only if you sell something.

PayPal is free to sign up. When a transaction occurs the seller must pay the PayPal fee, not the buyer. So if you want to buy something on eBay there would be no additional fee to you since you are the buyer. eBay also charges the seller, not the buyer for any fees.
