How to negotiate salary? - two offers?
-
I was laid off in Dec 08. I got a job offer from Company A and accepted it. But now, I got another offer from Company B. I liked type of job @ B than A. But B's salary is less than A's salary. How can I negotiate salary? I am just confused whether to tell B about A's offer [i.e. saying - I have another offer and expect salary range X-Y] or not [i.e., simply I expect salary X-Y] I really liked B's job and it will be a great change to my career. If I tell B about another offer and I ended up accepting B's original offer, wouldn't sound bad? I was thinking about hiding A's offer to B, then will I lose negotiating power?
