I'M TRYING TO APPLY FOR SOME WORK STUDY JOBS RIGHT NOW AND THEY ALL SAY EMAIL YOUR RESUME. DO I EMAIL THE COVER LETTER BEFORE THE RESUME, AND WHAT IS A COVER LETTER USED FOR ANYWAY AND WHEN ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO SEND THE COVER LETTER ANYWAYS?
-
Answer:
A cover letter is appropriate. As the first page or with the resume or CV as an attachment, shouldn't make any difference. Depending on the size of the company they might not know which job you're applying for. This is one thing to state in your cover letter. A cover letter also gives you a chance to put a little of your personality into the process but don't go overboard. A resume or CV is pretty sterile.

You should always include a cover letter. You can make it the text of your email, and attach the resume. Or you can make it the first page in the attachment. For a work study job, I would say that it would be fine to include it in the email.

Yes, send your cover letter with your resume. A cover letter is basically your statement as to why you would be good for there company.. Also in the first paragraph stating what job you're applying for and where you saw it.. I.E. I am apply for the work study job that was advertised in the blah blah paper... The second paragraph you should state why you would be a good candidate. I.E. I'm a great people person, I have a strong attention to detail.. Blahb lah.. And in the third paragraph you should say thank you, and I look foward to hearing from you, something along those lines.. And then put your name at the end.. Make sure in tiny print on the left hand corner on the bottom you put Resume Attached. When you send the e-mail write something like, attached is my cover letter and resume. I look foward to hearing from you. Good Luck ♥

email your resume only. because if you email a cover letter, youre basically going for a position which youre not if im correct. cover letter is for what position you want and why should you get the position. cover letters are sent only if you have a interview or if they ask for it.
