How to help my boyfriend with food/money problems?

• My boyfriend's parents are divorced and have nothing, they never take care of him, and seldom do my parents have the pateince with me to have him over so I can take care of him. I dont have money myself, but he is constantly starving and broke. Id like to help him, but my parents say it's nice, but not my problem. =_= How can I make money at school? Ive been considering selling my bracelets for $1 each. Can I find a way to provide him with food/money that isnt my parents? They really wont help me and his parents wont help him, so I am constantly providing for him and Im just 15!I have no job, money, and I cant even drive yet. How can I help him?

  If his parents really aren't providing basic support that is a child welfare issue. I'm assuming they are providing a roof and basic food, etc. So I think the problem is inadequate income for him to spend on whatever he wants to spend on. You don't want to become an enabler for him to not deal with his own problems. If he needs money, he needs to get a part-time job. If he doesn't think he needs to, then there must be another problem. I'm assuming the need is real and he is not just freeloading. It is difficult to not help when you think you can do something, but this really is his (and maybe the family's) problem, not yours. This is tough to do at 15, but that is the way it is sometimes. You aren't in any position to provide any real help, but you might encourage him to talk to someone, a school counselor or someone, about what the issues are. There can be drugs or alcohol in the family (not him directly) that could be soaking up funds. There can be gambling that is leaving the family poor. Any number of reasons.
