How could I find out if a website is legit?

Check with the Better Business Bureau to make sure they have a license, bbb.org Also check that the website and the business are one in the same, you can do a whois at Network Solutions, netsol.com Some people try to hide their web site data, but this will tell you they are not legit, as a legit company has no issues with you knowing their address etc.

What kind of Web site is it? A lotto or sweepstakes??? Those are all SCAMS! You could call the Better Business Bureau and ask them if they know. But I'd listen to your gut.... If your already questioning if its legit.... I wouldn't send any money. Better safe then sorry.
