How do I handle a second on-site interview?

From HR interview to Onsite Interview?

• I had a 20 minute conversation with HR on the phone, and in 2 hours she called me back for an onsite interview on the west coast (I am on east coast). I am wondering is this normal? They want to spend all this money on traveling without me even pre-screening with the hiring manager on phone. Can someone help me navigate through this? I want to interview with Hiring manager on the phone first, but what is the right protocol, I dont want to offend the HR person. Is my request professional? Thanks...vic

  I wouldn't blame you on bit . But to me that seems kind of fishy. My gut is telling me that something is wrong and that you are being scammed. But it's your decision not mine. If this company wants to send you money to fly out. Why don't they just order your plane ticket and have the ticket sent to you.
