How do I cancel a bid from Ebay?

How do I cancel a buyer's bid on Ebay?

  • I sold a guitar for $152 and now the person emailed me asking to cancel his bid. I can't figure out how to do that, I put it up for second chance bidding and sent it to the person who was outbidded but is that all I can do?

  • Answer:

If person has won the auction go to eBay pages where you can send cancellation request and the next bidder will automatically become the next highest bidder. If there are more persons who has bid higher than this person then just ignore no need to do anyting

Did he win the auction yet, or just place a bid? If it is the first you have to cancel the transaction but you will still be charged seller fee which you can ask buyer to pay; it it is still in the bidding process, you can cancel bid. Go to Customer Support at top of your page, it takes you to another page with a search box. You put in either "cancel bid" or "cancel transaction" and proceed from there.

if the person has brought it "buy now" then he cannot you can re-enlist the item but you cannot cancel but if he bidded on it then he can retract the bid
