How to write a resignation letter, please help urgent?
-
My contract ends this month and the company is closing, however the company is just giving us verbal notice that we are free to search for jobs elsewhere. They have warned us that they MIGHT be closing (NOT 100% Certain as they may stay open if they get business) however they are not giving us any written notice because they are not sure themselves. I cannot afford to sit here and wait thus I have found another job and thus need my P45. My workplace has said I need to write a resignation letter to them in order for them to issue my P45. What my concern is that it is them that have told us to leave but they are not pinning it on themselves rather making it sound that it is the employees wish to leave. Therefore I want help or template on how to word my resignation letter. I want to make it clear that it is because of them that I have to leave, they have not even paid us for 2 months as they say they have no money. I want to keep it as polite as possible. I have other responsibilities thus cannot be out of employment, but I want to make it clear that I am leaving because I need the money and they can't pay me which is causing me problems with my other responsibilities. Thanks Please could you help me write this letter.

Answer:
Dear Boss, As you are aware, my contract ends at the end of the month. I have decided to not seek a renewal of the contract; rather, to seek other opportunities. Thank you for the opportunity to have worked with you and ABC, Ltd. Best wishes.

Thank them for the opportunity, really enjoyed the work and the people, etc Unfortunately with the current uncertainty and not having been paid for two months, I am forced to tender my resignation as I have accepted another position.

It shouldnt begin with Dear Boss, Dear Sir or Madam would be better. I would suggest with such a specific style of resignation letter you try professional services like http://www.cv-shop.com/cover-letters.php

To Whom It May Concern; I have enjoyed my time here and made many new friends. And, of course, the salary kept me afloat. But I have found a better opportunity elsewhere where the salary is even better. As you know, inflation keeps on rising, too, and this higher salary helps me to better support myself. I hope you understand and that you accept my resignation. I want to thank you very much for giving me this opportunity but I have found a better position elsewhere. And I could not have done that without you first providing me with a chance here. For that, I will always be grateful. I want to wish you and everyone else here the best of luck in the future Thanks again. Sincerely, ????
