Help With Ebay Problem?

Help with a problem with paypal and ebay!?

  • Hi. I am new to ebay. And bought a few things. I then sold my and my boyfriends upgrade phones which are the current phones. Two days after receiving payment for them, ebay suspended my account, thinking i was fraudulent, as i am new and selling such new handsets. I rang up and they told me why and said i must confirm my identity, address and proof i have the phones. Both my ebay and paypal accounts have been suspended until i send the documents. The buyers are really angry, understanding. I have apologised and tried to refund them but i can't. So i told them to open a not received dispute on paypal and when i don't provide tracking information. Paypal should refund them out of my account. I can't do it myself as my account is limited. But one buyer, is calling me a scammer and is telling me he doesn't want to wait until paypal refund it. He will call the police and get the authorities to collect the money. Im new to ebay and im worried now. I want this to be sorted can he do that if i have allready spoken to paypal and told him to open the claim to receive refund. Thanks

  • Answer:

The buyer calling you a scammer is full of crap. ONLY Paypal can refund his money through the dispute process - you cannot refund the money. They have to file a dispute through Paypal Don't listen to any threats and just ignore them. The police won't get involved especially when Paypal has a dispute process to get his money back I don't know why you don't just send the documents to Ebay and Paypal ASAP, open the accounts, then send the phones though??

The one who is threatening to go to the police is an idiot. She is guaranteed a refund under eBay! She has NO CASE, don't worry about it at all. You have all the information from PayPal to prove she is wrong.

Well, you need to verify your PayPal account (follow the instructions) and do what is required. Understandably your buyers are angry, but you have explained the situation. Why can't you send them the phones, registered and insured mail of course, in any regard? What is the feedback of the angry buyer like? If it's under 100 and not 100% they could be trying to scam you. I wouldn't send them the phone! Email them, explain that there will be a few more days delay, ask them do they want the phone still or do they want a refund? The police won't be interested, you haven't committed any offense, sure they has been a delay in things but that is something outside your control and you are working to resolve it. PayPal has a dispute process and you have advised them to use it, what more can you do! Keep copies of the emails so you can prove what you said and offered as a solution.
