Working for public schools at all, you don't need to be a teacher. For example, an IT technician working for Denver Public Schools gets the summer off. You could also try working on a cruise ship, they have a lot of options. I can't guarantee summers off but you do get 2 months off.

you can work at a community college. Very fexible hours, lots of jobs to choose from, and Summers off!
