How do I know when my IM is received?

What can I do if I haven't received my goods?

• Long story short. I ordered some car parts from a motor spares company. A few days later I called them to inquire about why I have not yet received my goods on time. They informed me that it has been already received and signed in for. Now, neither me nor my flat mate have received anything at all. I told the guy the person that I have not received and we had a long argument. My argument was that as far as I'm concerned it was his responsibility to make sure that I have received what I paid for on time and thats its only fair to replace the goods and take up the matter with the courier company. His argument was that he would not do anything until he gets compensated by the courier. Although one of his colleagues promised me that if they can not get to the bottom of the problem by the end of the day, they would replace the order and get it to me the next day as I was traveling and needed the parts. The guys calls me the next day and starts to tell me about how he contacted a team of police officers who specialize in these sort of cases to track down the parcel especially to look out for them at the border i.e airports." I assume because I mentioned to him that I was traveling. Then he starts to boast about the team's success rate. And then advises me to check with the neighbors if they got it and to make sure to inform him if it turns up some how in my place so I dont get arrested when I'm traveling. When he first started to tell his story about the team hunting down my package and so on, I was slightly surprised by what he was saying and asked my self why is he telling me this but was offended until he mention it turning up at my place and advising me not to travel with it in a cheeky way. Im thinking this guy is a total idiot to treat his customers in such a manner. I told him that I didn't appreciate the way that he delt with me and that I will placing an order with the same parts from a different company that treat their customers with a little more curtsey. I asked him to email me my receipt and he refused. He said I cant email you the receipt if you didn't receive the goods. I told him that sending the receipt has nothing to do with it and that he should have done so upon me placing the order and paying for it. I then asked him to dictate me the list of parts that I have ordered (as I had explained to him which parts and needed and took his advice on the correct parts.) and he refused again thats when I got really annoyed a raised my voice just a little and asked him again to dictate to me the list and that he's being very difficult unnecessarily. He then replied and said that there is no need for me to talk to him in that way and that I was being very agrresive with his colleage and was screaming and swearing at her. I told him that if my calls were recorded then he should list to them for himself and stop making accusations like that. CAN YOU GUYS BELIEVE THIS CRAP. I obviously haven't received the parts. I want to know where do I stand with this issue and does that mean that I will loose my money. The order value by the way is just over 200 pounds. Please advice me on how to deal with this matter and thank you so much for taking the time help

  I hope you paid by credit card. Simply call your credit card company to report non-delivery. You will need to follow-up with a written letter.
