Help with the phone interview?

I Need Phone Interview Help!?

  • Okay so I'm about to do my first phone interview ever! At the end I want to be able to e-mail the interviewer and say thank you for taking the time out of their day. How do i go about asking that do I ask at the beginning or the end of the interview? Also some interview tips for the phone would be great!!

  • Answer:

It's a bit scary but it's nothing to worry about. Sit down, don't lie down. Talk with a smile on your face. Try not to talk too fast. Make sure you have a pen and paper handy. Write down any questions you want to ask beforehand. If you need anything repeated, ask politely. Take some time to think but not too much. Don't have distractions around you like the TV or your computer. Don't eat while you are talking. Make sure no one enters the room that you are in. And, most importantly, relax! Always do the contact details & thank you thing at the end of the interview. Once you have wrapped up and all your questions have been answered, you could say something like, "Thank you very much for taking time out of your day to interview me, I really appreciate it. I was wondering, before you go, if you could please provide me with your email address so that, should I have any questions, I can easily contact you?" You don't have to say exactly that, be natural. Try not to make it sound too rehearsed. Good luck!
