Is there a company that helps find you a rental?

Has anyone ever heard of linkshare.com? How can I find out whether or not they are a reputable company?

I've been trying to check this company out as a way to make extra money, but I'm not having any luck. They want my social security number before I can join, but I can't give them that without some kind of background check first. Usually if I enter a company name into the Better Business Bureau site, it will at least tell me whether or not the company is registered, but linkshare.com isn't showing up at all, in any way. Has anyone ever heard of it? How else can I find out whether or not this company is reputable? Here's the link to their page, if that helps: http://www.linkshare.com/
