-
I'm 20 years old girl, and I had recently dreamt that I was killed and then put into a grave..and since then I've been really afraid of dying and I don't know why I'm feeling so..I haven't been afraid of death before, but since having this dream I became really afraid...should I be afraid?? and does one feel that he/she is going to die before dying??? Please help me with this question...

Answer:
I feel for you, I too am very afraid of death, not due to a dream though. You at least know what caused your fear, I do not. I think part of it is due to the fact that I was exposed to death too young in life, but I can't be sure. Try to tell yourself that it is just a dream. I don't think that people can predict their deaths. Even though I myself share your fear, I don't think we should fear it. I can tell you the constant fear of it is not healthy. I can also say that it is not a fear easily overcome. I'm still trying, have been for years. It is also not widely understood by people. Someone who does not have this fear cannot realize how crippling it is. I would suggest you go find someone to talk to about it, a priest or counselor maybe. Hopefully they can help you to come to terms with death a little. I wish ya luck.

if you have lived your life to the fullest and have no regrets than you should not be afraid besides if you live the rest of your life being paranoid about death you'll never have fun and the only regret you'll have is that you never really lived so just do the best with the time you have no matter how short or long it is b/c if you do no one will forget you and you will live forever in the hearts and minds of the people's lives you have touched also something better comes after death a new adventure to go through ~**~ <3

It depends on the person believe system. I believe death is just a natural transition from one stage to another. I believe in reencarnation, that is why. If you believe that part of you, your soul, conscience, etc, follows your body as it decomposes in the grave, then don't blame the person to be afraid. I would say, be afraid of living like you were dead.
