letter advising that we never had such a number. A year later I got a letter from a different creditor, for our current number (but with a different code at then end) for the same amount as the previous request was for. Contacted SBC....they've been looking into it for two weeks now!. Oh, as far as the law group is concerned, this is what they say in their letter. This law firm has extensive experience and success in resolving payment issues between businesses and their creditors. However, I am not licensed to practice law in your state and sending this letter does not constitue an attempt to practice law in your state. Therefore, if further legal action is required, your account will be re-evaluated to determine whether this matter should be referred to an attorney licensed to practice law in your state. I'm going to write a letter disputing this, any good tips on what I should say or not say? Also, do they just make up amounts and tell you that you owe them? OH, at the end of the letter it says, If you feel you are or have been a victim or Theft of Identity, please call AT&T at blah blah blah. Hmph, I think they're up to something. Sorry so long.

(plus my bank letters and things and applied for a mobile (cell) phone in my name which didnt help me... i recived a letter saying that i owed so much for aphone company that i have never even ben with... so i called them up and they looked into it... im not a lawer just a mother to 4... but they sorted it... i gotta admitt it did take them 4 weeks to do it but at the end of the day it was sorted... so maybe you should call them up and explain the situation first.. if they suggest to you to wirte them a letter then do so...
